It is so windy in California right now my walls are shaking and the front door just flew open.

Just had to share, this is kind of surreal. Not looking good for these fires.

Made r/WildfiresLA2025

Linked. Post non-political fire-related news there.

Please be respectful and vet your sources. This is not a space to be for pontificating about your stupid bullshit, one way or the other.

This space is ONLY for analyzing the fire rates of spread, Santa Ana wind patterns, geographic/altitude factors, population density, vegetation level, real estate values destroyed, etc.

Red Flag Warning in Los Angeles

I live in Glendale, CA so relatively close to the Eaton fire. We have a red flag warning until Wednesday that says gusts could be up to 55 mph (which is making me very anxious). However, when I check the actual forecast for my location in multiple places (WeatherBug, windy, etc) the highest gusts I’m seeing forecasted are 15-20 mph max. Which one is more accurate? Sorry if this is a dumb question lol!
